Print Order Information

How to order a photograph:

Search for your photo using the Image Search page. If your photo is previewed on the page, you may order it online by clicking the 'order photo' button. If your photo is not previewed, you may request a thumbnail image be posted before ordering by clicking the 'request thumbnail' button.
OR
To order an image by mail, a completed License Agreement, Order Form and payment in full must be submitted to the Boston Studio Project. If a photo preview is not available for your image, you may request a "thumbnail" preview by completing the Thumbnail Request Form. Links for these documents are at the bottom of this page.

All forms may be downloaded from this website and are also available at the Hruska Memorial Library in David City. Completed forms may be returned to the Boston Studio Project at the Hruska Library address listed on the form or submitted via this website.

After receiving a completed Thumbnail Request Form, the image will be scanned and added to the gallery within 10 days. Normal turn-around time needed to produce the final image should be about six weeks.

Print sizes and costs for each image:
•  5x7 Print      $12.00
•  8x10 Print    $17.00
There will be an $11.00 Digitization/Preservation Fee added for each order.

Print Type:

Although corrections have been made to improve the contrast and remove "hot spots", the print will be very close to the original image on the negative. In an Enhanced Print, scratches or spots may be removed and individuals or parts of the photo may be selected or eliminated from view. The condition of the negative is noted in the database information but this is the subjective opinion of the person who originally looked at the negative. Many of the glass plates that were originally determined to be in poor condition provide a satisfactory print with little or no enhancement.

The decision to request an Enhanced Print over a Standard Print should be determined after you have viewed the thumbnail and should be based on your expectations and the final use of the print. If, after receiving the final image, you are not satisfied with the Standard Print, arrangements can be made to "upgrade" to an Enhanced Print. The time and expertise required to repair a damaged image is highly variable. The additional fee for producing an Enhanced Print will be determined by the Boston Studio Project and agreed to and paid for by the purchaser before any "clean up" work begins.

Tax:

The applicable Nebraska State Sales Tax rate will be added to each order made to individuals living in the state of Nebraska and to on-site purchases.
