History book lists his birth date as 1835. He was born in Moravia. Immigrated to the US with his family in 1878. According to the history book, he is buried in the Abie Cemetery but the church burned and all the records burned.
Ancestry.com has his birth year of 1835, and death date as 5/28/1897. It states that he was born in the village of Zarubice, town of Hrotovice, county of Znojmo, Moravia. He arrived with his wife and 6 kids on the ship "Strassburg" at the port of Baltimore on 4/26/1879.
His wife is buried in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cem. in Bruno. She died in 1923.
In 2023 many of Vaclav's 51 Kobza cousins contributed for his new gravestone.
